KYLR

The reason that we say and mean Kill Your Local Rapist (KYLR) is because it is the only path to a world without rape.

You could equate it to wimpily-tempered noise that saying “All Cops Are Bastards” (ACAB) means that we should simply oppose cops, defund them, not be so very nice—but no, we must oppose cops viciously and en masse, tearing down their power to kill, jail, abuse and rape on a whim and replace it with a society where cops aren’t even figmentally necessary. Cops are everyday enactments of the systemic violence of States, Colonialism, Racism, Carcerality and more. You cannot oppose the institutions of police and prisons by pleading with congressmen and governors to do something because they inordinately benefit from their mass regularized violence. It is no different for rapists.

Phantasms

The way the case of Jeffery Epstein is being handled by media, pundits, and regular blokes gravely misidentifies the problem. Epstein is not a human, he is a phantasm: an Icon of Sin that every anxiety about rape and pedophilia can be placed into and onto and scapegoated, condemning your personal political enemies (demons,) decidedly not even grazing your personal political supermen (angels,) and leaving without even a shred of thought to what you have done and do (unconsiderable.)

The idea of what a pedophile or rapist is has not evolved far from Nazi propaganda posters. In those horrid things, the nefarious Jewish man looms over a rapeable Aryan preteen girl (necessarily a stranger,) luring her in with sweets. In the US, black men were and still are lynched for the eternally unfalsifiable pretense of raping a pure, innocent, rapeable white girl (again, a stranger.) Epstein is popularly thought of as a mixture of these two, plus so many other particular phantasms: an otherworldly demonic force looming over tens, nay, billions of rapeable young girls, stealing them from their rightful owners parents in frenzied orgies with everyone you personally resent.

While Epstein is not actually Satan, what he did in truth was and is truly horrendous. He and other millionaires and billionaires, such as Trump, trafficked teen girls and women to be raped by anyone with enough money. They transmute real-life humans with thoughts and cares into rapefodder, revoking their humanity, and did this in terrifyingly huge numbers. While the crimes of Epstein, Trump et al.’s victims are numerous, probably exceeding thousands, these crimes are far less common than the everyday, mass, regularized rape in commonplace scenarios. Epstein, Trump et al. deserve to be treated as rapists and pervasive ones at that, but by focusing on them as the rapists (phantasms,) it totally misses out on what happens every single second of every day.

Reality

In reality, one in five (cis)women and (cis)girls have been raped in their lifetimes (and just shy of 50% of trans people have been raped in their lifetimes.¹) The vast majority of rape and abuse is perpetuated by an intimate partner or an acquaintance.² 87.6% of “female” victims report being raped by at most two different people across their lifetime, while 12.4% report being raped by three or more different people.³

Patriarchy is not some fluke: Rape culture is viscerally real. Statistics speak to what people of subaltern and disempowered genderclasses already know and experience: 25.1% to 57.3% of (straightcis)men⁴ report having perpetrated a sexually aggressive behavior against a (straightcis)woman since the perpetrator was 14 years old.⁵ That is: 25–57% of straightcismen are self-reported rapists, sexual assaulters, and/or pedophiles, many more would rape given the opportunity, and far more certainly know a rapist, sexual assaulter or pedophile and just look the other way.

One benefit of creating a phantasm is neglecting your own role in causing suffering. The people that Epstein, Trump et al. trafficked were not preteens, but teens—the disgusting term, “barely legal.”

The genderclass empowered by Patriarchy and Ageism (usually adult cismen, though not always) holds extreme power over the genderclass with only provisional power (usually adult ciswomen, though not always) and over the subaltern genderclass (children, the majority of trans and intersex people, dykes and faggots.)⁶ Children are property despite being people. They are denied the rights, capacities, and existence of being a person in all aspects of life, ranging from the smallest things (how their hair is cut, what sports they want to do or not) to the deadly (being denied vaccines by polio-denying parents and blood transfusions by Jehovah’s Witnesses parents.) Kids and teens, women, trans people, dykes and more are systemically denigrated, controlled, killed, raped, forgotten, and so many more things because it reinforces the control of Patriarchy and Ageism, in addition to all other hierarchies due to their intersectional nature.

Girls and women are sexualized from birth, branded on their bodies as consumable meat in all areas of society, never listened to, and more. Teens do not have bodily autonomy, they may be physically weaker and smaller than adults depending on the person and age, they usually don’t have much money, they are taught to fear strangers and trust family, their families hold the power of life and death over them, they are used as voiceless political cudgels, and so much more. Teen girls in our world are thus in one of the worst positions to fight back and assert their autonomy—they are highly rapeable. People empowered by and reaping the rewards of Patriarchy want to rape and hold power over people weaker than themselves, seeing it as just a thing to do with your property, and thus see teen girls as highly rapeworthy as well.⁷

Counterphantasm

While KYLR absolutely applies to Epstein and Trump, it applies far more often and far more pervasively to your average straightcisman. Epstein is a phantasm, a distraction from the most commonplace kind of sexual assault, and a fog obscuring any sight of the system of power behind his crimes and that of a scarily high percentage of straightcismen: Patriarchy and Ageism.

Rape, sexual assault, abuse, pedophilia et al. are extremely violent enactments of Patriarchal and Ageist violence. Rapists are thus in the same position as fascists: they are the perpetrators, upholders, and sycophants of power and authority and the extreme violence thereof. After the end of WWII, while prominent and famous Nazis were hung, many less notable Nazis in the government simply shut their mouths and lasted for decades afterwards while still in the governement. If Trump died tomorrow and everyone finally admitted that, yes, he is indeed a rapist,⁸ nothing would fundamentally change.

The way to defeat fascism is to kill your local fascist, destroying their ability to enact the violence of fascism. Rape is no different; in the same way that all cops are bastards, all fascists are rapists (they entrench themselves with Patriarchy and Ageism, they uphold rape culture, etc.) and all rapists do the work of fascism. Not all rapists are straightcismen—but all rapists ally themselves with Patriarchal power.

There are many ways to KYLR. On the destructive side, you can:

• drive them out of your spaces;
• deplatform them;
• inform their bosses, current and potential partners that they’re a rapist;
• put up signs around town that they are a rapist;
• oppose authority, prisons, police, racism, colonialism, fascism, and more;
• prevent them from raping.

On the creative side, you can:

• listen to and support victims and survivors;
• actually treat children and teens like they’re humans (which is apparently extremely difficult;)
• educate yourself and other people on rape culture and Ageism;
• speaking up in the moment when someone is being Patriarchal and/or Ageist;
• give out contraception for free;
• organizing in some form.

The end of rape culture is possible, but only if we fight it tooth and nail. It is huge, nearly intractable but not fully: Rape can be ended. Do not let the media, rapists, and supporters of rapists fool you into believing that only a select few evil people and evil demographics are rapists and pedophiles (and that killing people of that supposedly evil demographic will make it go away.) Anyone can rape and anyone can be raped. It happens every day, every minute. Authority in any form—Racial, Imperial, even the subjective feeling of deserving authority—is the stuff from which rape culture is made, and to oppose authority in all ways is the only way that Patriarchy and Ageism will be finally defeated.

In short: kill your local rapist!

Even when the porn is consensual and with people above the age of majority, when people (usually straightcismen) older than them jerk off to it, they’re jerking off to the fantasy of raping a child. It makes sense that if you’re 17, 18, 19 or so and want to masturbate to porn, those kind of videos make sense (they’re the look of your peers, after all) but when you get much older than that the fantasy of pedophilia kicks in. Why is it that 40-year-old men so often lust after teens? They’re pedos! That’s the demographic they have the most power over! It’s that simple.
